"As it was his team's first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh," the IPL said in a statement.
Mumbai Indians' captain Rohit Sharma and Rajasthan Royals' Ajinkya Rahane have previously lost the exact amount for their team's poor run-rate.
Opting to bowl first, RCB completed their bowling innings only by 21:45 IST. However, after six straight losses to begin their season, the visitors picked up their first points in Saturday's double-header as they successfully chased down a target of 174 to hand the hosts a eight-wicket defeat.
