Always the happiest when I'm in action: Akshay Kumar reveals what went behind the making of Kesari - Times Now

After impressing the audience with his performance in three films last year, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to rule 2019. The star will be next seen in Anurag Singh's upcoming directorial, Kesari which is based on one of the bravest battles that India ever fought – the Battle of Saragarhi. The period war drama also features Parineeti Chopra in a vital role. Recently, Akashy took to his social media and shared the making of the movie. 

In the video, the 51-year-old actor is heard saying, "I have had one of the best times doing the action sequences for Kesari because they were so raw. It was completely out of the world. The very premise of the film is something which swells my chest with pride." 

Sharing the making video of Kesari on his official Twitter handle, Akshay wrote, "Always the happiest when I'm in action and #Kesari kept me more than active!" Watch the video below. 

Further, explaining what the film is all about in the clip, Akshay said that Kesari is based on the epic battle of Saragarhi which was one of the most heroic battles seen in history. "It is the story about the courage of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought against 10,000 invaders to defend their honour. The film also touches upon the never give up attitude the Sikhs have," he added.  

Kesari has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and has been reportedly made on a budget of Rs 60 crore. The movie will hit the theatres on March 21.
